| The Body of Water search will return the most results, but I would recommend trying the state or city searches first to get more specialized results! | |||
Quick Comment

There are thousands of wrecks listed on this site, not all diveable, but hundreds, if not thousands are!! And if that's not enough, there are hundreds of more wrecks/dive sites soon to be added! Most of these wrecks are located in the Atlantic ocean - from Florida to the coasts of Nova Scotia!
In addition to the additional wrecks and sites coming, I will be uploading more Canadian dive shops and removing some of the dupes! I've had a lot of success with locating Atlantic shipwrecks, but I haven't been able to find many in the pacific north of California.
On the topic of California, I will soon be adding an additional filter to remove the potential dive sites - a lot of the wrecks I found in California were listed on a government site, the only problem is I don't know if the wrecks are still present of if they were salvaged. So I entered them as potential dive sites. I do have a list that I know Cali divers do frequent. So you will soon have the ability to filter potential from known actual sites.

Shipwrecks & Dive Shops

“A lot of people ask me if I were shipwrecked, and could only have one book, what would it be?
I always say 'How to Build a Boat.”
Stephen Wright
The vast majority of the dive sites listed are shipwrecks. A lot are diveable, a lot are not. The search functions (the quick search above and the advanced search) only display the diveable wrecks. Currently, a wreck is considered diveable if the latitude and longitude are known. At the bottom of the this page is section titled Shipwrecks at a Glance that will display both diveable and undiveable wrecks.
Like this site's sister site Great Lakes Diving, this is a user driven site and your participation is welcomed and encouraged. By registering you will be able to post comments about dive shops and the various dive sites. You will also be able to rate the condition of the numerous shipwrecks. Soon, I will be adding blogging capabilities so you write about the divesites you like best and anything SCUBA that peaks your interest.

While you cannot dive all of these wrecks, they're interesting to read about none the less! You'll get 3 new wrecks everytime you visit!
A great deal of the information on the Great Lakes wrecks comes courtesy of Dave Swayze
